Satin Jayde was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but raised between the humid streets of Houston, Texas, and the creative sprawl of Los Angeles. This geographic triangle is essential to her sound. From Atlanta, she absorbed the trap-soul bounce of the early 2010s. From Houston, she learned the art of the "chopped and screwed" slow roll. From LA, she took the minimalist, ethereal production of indie electro-pop.
