This is the catch-22. You don't need to have body positivity before you try naturism. You gain body positivity through naturism.
Spend a full weekend day naked. Clean the house naked. Cook breakfast naked. Look at yourself in the mirror while brushing your teeth. Say out loud: "This is my body right now. It is neither good nor bad. It just is."
Naturism flips this script entirely. It doesn't just accept the body; it normalizes the boring reality of the body. To appreciate the link to body positivity, we must clear the air. Naturism is not about sex. The International Naturist Federation (INF) defines naturism as "a way of life in harmony with nature, characterized by the practice of communal nudity, with the intention of encouraging self-respect, respect for others, and for the environment."
