A lamella clarifier is a type of settling tank that uses a series of inclined plates or lamellas to increase the settling surface area. The plates are typically spaced 50-100 mm apart and are inclined at an angle of 45-60 degrees. As the influent flows through the tank, the suspended solids settle onto the plates and slide down to the bottom of the tank, where they are collected as sludge.
