Body positivity in wellness means extending the same grace to yourself that you would give a best friend. It means acknowledging that stress, grief, menopause, hormonal cycles, and disability all affect your capacity—and that does not make you "unwell."
This is a misunderstanding. Self-love does not negate self-care; it mandates it.
Instead of saying, "I can’t have sugar," try saying, "I want to add some protein and fiber to my breakfast so I feel full longer."
The goal is to cultivate a relationship with food. Food is not a reward or a punishment. It is fuel, culture, comfort, and pleasure—often all at once.
